Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

Apr 2012

William and Catherine are to take part in The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee carriage procession on Tuesday 5 June 2012.

In their first formal carriage procession since their wedding, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with Prince Harry, will join The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh as they journey from Westminster Hall to Buckingham Palace.

Celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee bank holiday weekend culminate on Tuesday 5 June 2012.

In the morning, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will attend a National Service of Thanksgiving at the magnificent St Paul’s Cathedral, accompanied by senior Members of the Royal Family.  The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will then go on to attend a reception at Mansion House and a lunch at Westminster Hall hosted by the Livery.

Thousands of people are expected to line the processional route, as The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh travel in the magnificent 1902 State Landau golden carriage as they travel back to Buckingham Palace.

Shortly after their return to the Palace, the Royal Party, including William and Catherine, will make a balcony appearance.
