On the Eve of Kate’s 30th Birthday
On the eve of her 30th birthday, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, attended a glittering Film Premiere in aid of The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were VIP guests at the UK Premiere of Steven Spielberg’s ‘War Horse’.
Kate and William were met by cheers, as fans and well-wishers gathered to catch a glimpse of the glamorous couple as they stepped onto the red carpet.
Kate, her hair down and elegantly styled, wore a stunning long, black lace gown by British designer Alice Temperley. Her husband, by her side, looked very relaxed and handsome in a double-breasted suit and black tie. William gallantly held an umbrella to protect Kate from the prevailing rain.
Commenting on the couple’s attendance at the event, Director Steven Spielberg said: “I am delighted that the UK Premiere of War Horse is in aid of ‘The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry’ and that this special occasion is attended by two of the patrons, Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.”
One of the main focuses of The Princes’ Foundation is the welfare of those who serve their country in the British Armed Forces. War Horse, which is based on the novel by children’s author Michael Morpurgo, tells the story of humanity against conflict during the First World War.
